Life with All Bran
So, this morning began like any other morning; too early, too many girls to a bathroom, nevertheless a beautiful day in the Holy Land. It was just one of those days when your eyes refuse to open and your head feels glued to the pillow. I dragged myself up to breakfast at 7, with my handy dandy box of All Bran clutched in my tired little hands.
Breakfast was delish as usual. I didn’t notice as I left my table that my hands were no longer encumbered with a box All Bran.
When I reached my first class of the day there was a note waiting for me. With inquisitive thoughts I opened the note, across which was scrawled, in menacing handwriting, “Jenessa the Jovial.”
“Dear Jenessa,
If you ever wanted to see you beloved, delicious, and not to mention nutritious All-Bran again you must fulfill the following demands:”
The letter continued with instructions to write 10 nice things about three “randomly selected” people (“Winky,” “Rugged,” and “The Rock,” which I suspect were not so randomly selected), to write a vow never to write on or make fun of the three afore mentioned people, and to leave a ransom of chocolate by the fifth floor bulletin board by midnight. It was signed with love by the “Pirates of Megiddo.”
Because of my intense love for my All Bran I began writing immediately, searching my brain for 10 nice things about each of the three pirates. It was rough, but I scratched them up. I tried to write the vow that would forbid me from making fun of them forevermore, but I just couldn’t do it! I finished the note without it, and pinned it to the bulletin board.
I still haven’t gotten my All Bran back.
Throughout all my classes today I’ve been watching my back, making sure that nothing else that is of great value to me gets stolen from right in front of my face! If there is anything I’ve learned at the JC, it’s to watch my back… just kiddingJ. It is to expect the unexpected. We here at the JC are like a clan; we all take care of each other, we make each other laugh and we steal each other’s All Bran. Today began just like any other day at the JC, and it’s ending in the same way; like another day in Paradise.
